Cheat Meals, Guilt-Free Food & Coney Island

Look at those beauts.
If you read yesterday’s post, then you know I recently just got back from visiting NYC. My best friend, Elizabeth lives there. This is great because not only do I always have a place to stay, I get to spend extra time with someone I consider family and the sister I never I had.
I had most of the day Saturday with her and she suggested we visit Coney Island.

Ouch, I Tried Aerial Yoga

This past weekend, I made a quick trip to NYC to see my friend, Cassandra, before she moves to California this fall. We have both been wanting to try aerial yoga and we thought it would be a great way to spend our last day together before she moves.
Look at that excitement on my face.

Lunch, Main Dish, Recipes

Healthy & Fried Fish Tacos

Everyone loves tacos. Everyone.
If someone ever tells you they don’t, stay calm. Stop making eye contact and slowly walk away. That person is a pathological liar and can’t be trusted.
There is a taco in this world for everyone. So if you don’t like tacos and swear you’re not a pathological liar then that to me just says you’re flat out lazy.

Fashion & Beauty

Everyday Semi-Healthy Makeup Routine

We won’t talk about how many beauty YouTube videos I watch per week. I love makeup. I wear it because it’s fun and makes me look polished.
It also has a ton of crap in it. Siiiiiiiiiigh. I researched natural makeups and it turns out that just because something is labeled as having no parabens and it’s natural does not means it’s great to use.

Food Prep & Meal Planning

Busy Girl Meal Boxes #5

Last week my Busy Girl Meal Boxes took effort. Lots and lots of effort. I worked a couple of long days in the beginning of the week and after that I was spent. I still managed to throw together a small handful. I would get home and lay on the couch until 8. Then grunt all the way to the kitchen to pack my lunch.

Busy Girl Meal Boxes #4

Even through my small health scare, I was still packing Busy Girl Meal Boxes, I just wasn’t posting them on the blog. It’s also a busy time at the office right now. Through all the busy-ness, there’s definitely still plenty of time for me to pack my lunch. But sometimes I just don’t feel like it.
There’s a really great cafeteria at work.

Mental Health

I Found A Lump

I’m not going to make you read this whole post to get to the good part. I DO NOT HAVE CANCER! Here’s the story…
In April, I found an abnormal lymph node in my groin area. Truly, the best area to have people look at and touch when you’re having a health crisis. I immediately became obsessively worried about it.

Food Prep & Meal Planning, Inside My Lunchbox

Busy Girl Meal Boxes #3

It’s Sunday night at 7:10 pm and I’m writing this to schedule for tomorrow. I completed an overly ambitious 26-mile bike ride earlier today and my browser just quit deleting everything I had wrote. Believe me when I say it was compelling and had you on the edge of your seat. I simply do not have the energy to make it as good as it was.

Salads, Side Dishes

Lemon Garlic Green Bean Salad

Fun fact: When I was 7 years old, I found a worm in my green bean while being forced to sit at the dinner table to until I ate them. The best part? My mom told me to stop eating the beans. No one ate their green beans that night. I basically saved the day.
Twenty plus years later, green beans are one of my preferred vegetables.
