Eh hem… I created this workout. That’s right. It’s pretty straightforward. I created it to do before work on occasion. You start by running a mile then you do 3 rounds of intervals including: jumping jacks, lunges, squat thrusts, Russian twists and push ups. Then you end with running another mile. Its an all over body workout that is pretty intense.
The first mile really got Amanda and I warmed up. Because she is in much better shape than me, Amanda talked through the entire first mile. I just listened, smile and nodded. We decided that we would add more runs into our workouts. Amanda pushes me to run at a faster speed, which has been really great for me! With her running next to me, I know I won’t stop. Even though she needs less of a push than me, it keeps her motivated to keep going too (so she says, I’ll take it).
I’d also like to point out that Amanda did a variation of jumping jacks. She didn’t raise her arms all the way up… I think she is crossing over to the dark side. Okay, fine. She did a pretty intense tricep workout the day before and was having trouble lifting her arms.
